Our Oregon Salmon Fishing Trips

Ocean Salmon, Chinook and Hatchery Coho

When condition permit we will target Chinook (King) salmon and when season allows hatchery Coho (Silver) salmon. Both species can be often plentiful off the southern Oregon coast. These two species of salmon are excellent eating and will provide you with a memorable fight.

As my memory serves the southern Oregon coast has always provided good catch rates along with good sized fish. The area has a great port to work out of with all the amenities. The port of Brookings has a safe bar to cross to reach the fishing grounds and is monitored by the United States Coast Guard.

The salmon in the area range in size but it is not uncommon to see salmon up to the 40 pound mark or even larger hit our docks.

StateLine Sportfishing’s “Bout Time” is equipped with 4 Scotty electric downriggers to efficiently fish at all depths for salmon with quality gear and tackle. Trolling is our preferred method but mooching is also possible. Bait is always provided. Our ocean salmon charters are a 6 hour excursion. All fish are cleaned and bagged, filleted if desired.

Salmon Fishing 6-8 hr trip for $200 per person

Filleting and cleaning catch along with bait and tackle are included.

COMBINATION SALMON & ROCKFISH 6-8 HR TRIP IS $250 PER PERSON

This is also a great trip designed to not only target ling cod but but to fill your sacks with Salmon also. While we target ling cod we more than often get limits of rock fish as well. We will be fishing destinations in deeper water to 180 feet. We have a good number areas with waypoints saved to get you on fish. We use quality light weight rods and reels that provide a sporty and fun way to catch fish.We also put out crab pots. All you fish are well cared for, cleaned and filleted. All bait and tackle are included. Your fishing license and shellfish permit are not included.

I took a guided fishing trip with Rich Signorello on Saturday October 12 2019, at 730 am. Rich Showed up on time with his son (deckhand) and ready to fish. Rich greeted me with a positive attitude and was extremely nice the whole trip. Rich and his son are very professional with their services and are very knowledgeable about fishing. Rich knew how to read the river very well and we were on the fish all day long. I was able to catch two salmon in the short amount of time that we were on the water and Rich netted my fish with ease. Rich and his son did all the work and all I had to do was focus on not missing a bite. When the fishing trip was over, Rich cleaned and filleted my fish and put the fillets in bags for me. This was a great experience and I would highly recommended Rich’s fishing guide services to anyone of any level of fishing ability. You will definitely learn a thing or two from this guy and he was fun to hang out with. I will definitely be using Rich’s guide services again.

We went out at a time when the tides were changing, so it took about an hour to find a place where the fish were biting. However, during that time, both Rich and Matt demonstrated an excellent knowledge of the local area and knowing where to look (only taking us a couple of stops to find the fish). Even before the fish started to bite, the trip was very entertaining. When the fish did start biting, it was one after another until we had caught our limit on rock fish. Rich and Matt were awesome guides and really fun to hang out with. They were also well prepared with food, drinks, and motion sickness medicine (if needed). I had a lot of fun with them and can’t wait to go out again. Hopefully next time we can head after salmon in the deeper water. Thank you again for a great time and all of the fish!
